In Q1 2024, the top 5 maps and navigation apps in Ireland exhibited various trends in downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

TFI Live saw a notable increase in weekly downloads early in the quarter, peaking at around 7.8K in the week of February 12. However, by the end of March, downloads had decreased to approximately 5.5K. The app maintained a fairly stable active user base, starting at 150K in early January and rising to 170K by the end of March.

Uber - Request a ride experienced fluctuating download numbers, starting at 5.7K in the first week of January, dropping mid-quarter, and then recovering to about 6K by the end of March. Active users for Uber showed a consistent pattern, with a slight dip mid-quarter but recovering to nearly 291K by the end of the period.

Leap Top-up had a steady download rate, peaking at around 5.4K in February and then slightly declining to 4.2K by late March. The active user trend was relatively stable, with numbers fluctuating around the 120K mark throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed an interesting pattern in downloads, with a significant increase from 3.5K in early January to 5.7K by the end of March. Active users also increased, starting at 123K in January and reaching 149K by the end of the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride had a lower download rate compared to the other apps, starting at 3.1K in January and ending at 3.4K in March. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, hovering around the 23K mark throughout the quarter.
